Why
choose Media Studies ?
Media Studies offers you the
opportunity to study aspects of the Media in depth and then put this learning
into practice through creating your own productions.
You will study a wide variety of Media
Genres exploring Conventions, Institutions, Industries, Practices, Issues and
Debates presenting your findings and opinions in a variety of ways and writing
in a number of different styles.
Final productions must be shown to an
audience and market tested.

well argued extended speaking presentation.
Many of our students go on to higher
education in areas such as Journalism, English, ICT or Film and Television

in the Media Industries of newspaper and television.
It is a fast paced subject where new
technological developments mean that each year is challenging in a different
way.
